time is moving on

And turned them into yesterdays"

I have been looking forward to 'summer' for so long, and it seems to have almost passed by without my realising. It's only a few weeks till I go back to College, and I'm actually really looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to having something to do, not that I don't have a huge list of things to do now, but things that have to be done, things that I'm working for, and aiming for, important things, you know.

This summer has been great though.

Beautiful Days

i went to a festival last weekend called beautiful days. it was an amazing weekend and i would recommend everyone go next year :)

~

It is also nearing September, and I'm needing to make the decision about what I want to do next year, and the year after, the important decisions like University, and the still important but not as important ones like... do I buy a new iPod? hmm? Well mine has run out of space for all my music!! Anyway, yes, University. I have decided not to take a gap year, so this time next year i will be less than a month away from starting a whole new chapter in my life, and I need to decide where I want to do that, and what course I want to be taking whilst I'm doing it. I got my AS level results last Thursday, and I got an A in English Literature, an A in Film, a B in Drama and a Distinction in Journalism, so providing I continue the good standard next year I should have a few options as to where to go and should, hopefully, be able to take my pick :) I am also wondering whether or not to take up another AS level, as my Journalism course has finished and so I now have space in my timetable, but, what to take is the major decision. I was considering doing media, or perhaps English Language, but who knows, maybe it's best to concentrate on what I am already doing.

These are a few songs from a band I saw at Beautiful Days, I hadn't even heard of them before I saw them, and we just went to the area they were playing in by chance and I was pleasently surprised. It's the kind of music I like listening to when I'm at home doing coursework, or tidying about.

Big Screen in the Park

I live in a small City in Devon called Exeter, every year people gather in one of the city’s beautiful parks to watch a number of films on our very own ‘Big Screen’.
They show three films, three nights running, and this year I headed down to watch ‘Up’. The film itself was brilliant but watching it under the stars makes it so much more magical. We weren’t the only ones who were unorganised however, turning up in t-shirts and cardigans, blankets and gloves would have been more appropriate because when the sun went down the goose-bumps rose.
There was a stand selling hot drinks, and even a bar, and the City lights in the background made for the perfect, cheap, evening out. It cost £2 to get in, and was a perfect way to keep the kids and the adults entertained for a few hours.

A Weekend in the City

Me and my friend Thea went to London for a few days, the first day was beautiful weather, but we appear not to have taken any pictures, except this one in Piccadilly Circus after we went to see the show Blood Brothers, which, by the way, I would recommend a million times over! It was incredible. The lack of pictures on the first day however was more than made up for on the second...

We walked along South Bank and found this lovely project.

Then we took some photographs around all the graffiti before reaching the national theatre...
the combination of it being about 9:30 and the fact it was rather grey and rainy meant it was pretty empty so we got some good pictures

we then went to Covent Garden, sat and watched some street entertainers while the weather stayed nice

The guy standing on the one legged/armed/sided ladder was really good, and he could also do some pretty impressive shizz with a diablo.

we then went to pizza express and ate A LOT of food! 3 huge courses later and we were ready for Abercrombie and Fitch, the picture which I will put up another time because a) I have to find it in my pile of unpacked stuff, and b) I have to scan it in.

we then went to Trafalgar Square to chill and watch some half naked boys jump into the fountain haha.

I could sleep forever

I am so tired! I have been working non stop! But this time next week I will be sat on a train approaching London with my bezzer. Love it!
Going to do a whole bunch of touristy things.. London Dungeons, Blood Brothers, Chinese in China Town, a trip to Covent Garden to see the entertainers, some haggling at Camden Market and of course, lots and lots of shopping along Oxford Street (including the four story Topshop!) Cannot wait.
Should come back with some lovely pictures to capture the memories too.

I went to see Jimmy Carr, a British comedian, on Friday night and I can honestly say he was hilarious, I would definitely go and see him again! Trying to remember some of the jokes he said is hard because there are just too many (he's more of a joke comedian than an anecdote one,) but here's a clip if you fancy it...
